Meet Kristen

Kristen Taylor is a private piano teacher in Norman, OK.  Although able to play every wind instrument in the band, Kristen enjoys sharing music with children of all ages through the use of unique experiences, interactive games and exploration at the piano.  Kristen has been teaching music for more than 15 years across a broad range of educational roles serving as an elementary music teacher, middle school band director and heading the piano department of a performing arts studio.  She enjoys performing at weddings, being an accompanist for vocal and instrumental students & serving time in orchestra pits.  Kristen has been the music director for young performers versions of ‘Annie’ and ‘You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown’ and has conquered Bernstein’s complex score as a French Horn player for ‘West Side Story’.  When not at the piano, she can be found being mom to her two wonderful kids, indulging her techie geekness or on her figure skates at the local ice rink.  Kristen holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education / Piano Performance from The University of Iowa.  Connect with Kristen online at Twitter or on Facebook.
